RUC Mining are seeking an Alternate Project Manager to join our Freeport operations in Indonesia.RUC Mining Contractors are an established Western Australian Underground Contractor who is part of the global Murray & Roberts Group. RUC is a diversified underground mining contractor with an extensive portfolio of Development, Production, Shaft Sinking and Raise boring projects throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific. About the RoleThe Project Manager (Alt) oversees operational activities and provides leadership to the Big Gossan Project and early development works of the Kuching Liar Block Cave mine at Freeport, Indonesia. The Big Gossan Mine is a large sublevel open-stope mine producing in-excess of 230,000t per month utilizing shaft haulage and paste backfill. Kuching Liar is in early development with an operational production profile of 90,000t per day.RUC undertake the complete scope of UG mining works at Big Gossan from production and development activities, operating and maintaining shaft hoisting activities, construction works and short-term planning. Early jumbo development works are currently in progress for the Kuching Liar project.Essential to the role is the effective and efficient planning, management of internal resources and coordination with the administration for the timely recruitment, rostering of expat and national employees.You will be responsible for taking ownership of project KPIs and building on our strong client relationships onsite. Additionally, you will -Lead a pro-active safety cultureEnsure all project personnel operate safely and comply with company and site policiesEnsure the project meets Client and Company objectives Complying with all Client, Company reporting and contract administration requirementsMonitor the management of the critical risk register for the entire project and ensure mandatory controls are in placeRecruit and maintaining a suitable workforce to meet project objectivesManage a cohesive, professional, and committed project team RUC encourages Senior Mining Engineers, Alternate and current Project Managers to apply.
