Mining Superintendent

RUC Mining are seeking an experienced Mining Superintendent on a 8/6 FIFO roster to join our passionate team of highly skilled people for a newly awarded project, the Penny UG Gold Mine.It's located approximately 165km south-east of Mount Magnet. Just over an hours flight from Perth will take you to the new camp and facilities and a short commute to the mine site.About the roleReporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure budgets and targets are achieved and mine planning activities are completed in a timely manner. Ensure that underground contractor activities are consistent with company standards including safety, housekeeping, workspace organisation and waste management standards as defined by the Project Manager.Attend and contribute to pre-shift meetings, toolbox meetings, weekly safety meetings, communication meetings, incident investigations and client required meetings.Comply with all relevant Legislation, Codes of Practice, RUC instructions, policies, procedures, specifications and practices.Ensure that underground performance meets weekly and daily plans, whilst also maintaining quality standards as defined by the Project Manager.Flag major or potential operational gaps to the Project Manager including likely/actual performance shortfalls, skills or personnel gaps, and process/policy breaches. Skills and Experience

  • WA Shift Supervisor's Certificate
  • C Class Drivers Licence
  • A strong background in running and managing underground mining operations
  • Proven safety management performance in a mining operation
  • Word processing and spread sheeting skills
  • Initiative and strong problem solving and communication skills
