We are leaders in mechanised mining, shaft sinking, raise drilling, and boxhole boring whilst supported by our Kalgoorlie Services Centre.A rewarding permanent opportunity is now available for an experienced QA/QC Lead to join our Shaft Sinking team based on-site at the Cosmos Project - Western Australia. This position will be offered on a permanent basis working a 8:6 roster.Reporting to the Project Manager, the main tasks of the role include but are not limited to :Provide quality support and assist with the implementation and adherence to Client and RUC quality. framework, systems and audit schedules.Monitor the delivery of operational goals through evidence-based performance monitoring such as audit records, key performance indicators or delivery records.Audit key external subcontractors to ensure they have quality procedures in place and are effectively and efficiently applying them in their day-to-day business.Liaise with the groups external auditors to ensure that the audit process is completed in a timely and efficient manner for procurement and performance aspects.The ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders and SME's to document processes.Clear, regular communication with Project manager.Work with and support the other senior project personnel in the successful delivery of the project.Prepare and collate project completion and commissioning documentation. About You:Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate requirementsDegree in Quality and Environment disciplines, or similar. QA experience with reputable Australian contractor.Previous employment with a local tier one or two contractor in a quality role. Experience reporting to senior leadership and client teams. Previous team leadership experience on commercial or civil engineering project in Australia. Comfortable in fast paced, high pressure (at times) environment with multiple moving parts. C Class Drivers’ LicenceProficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite5+ years’ mining experience3 years’ experience in Shaft Sinking supervisor role. Why Join The RUC TeamSuper paid on all hours workedGood work/ life IntegrationGenerous discounts offered on RUC BT Super fund featured partnersIncome protection insurance that has no exclusions or out-of-work recreational activitiesOpportunity to work for a progressive company that offers development opportunitiesYour applicationWhen applying for a position with RUC, the key to progressing in the selection process is the quality of your application.
