About the role:We have a requirement for an experienced Advanced Rigger to join the Shaft Sinking team at Cosmos mine site in the Goldfields. Reporting to Shift Supervisor you will be required to perform Rigging and Lifting duties in both underground and surface environment. Other duties required to perform:General lifting dutiesConduct pre-start inspections and complete associated paperwork daily whilst assisting Winder Engine Driver/Crane and Braceman as required.Complete lift plans when required for both underground and surface liftsAcknowledge shaft communications in a timely manner and follow any instructions given.Regular communication with Shift Boss ensuring equipment is readily available and in the correct sequence. Ensure all rigging and lifting equipment is clean, stored, tagged and Fit for use Assemble steel structures both underground and on the surface Ensure all materials are used and all waste is disposed of in an environmentally approved manner. Report any environmental incidents as soon as possible and assist as directed in all clean-up and containment activities.Ensure all equipment required by shaft and/or construction crew be ready and lowered in a timely manner.Contribute to general maintenance and work activities outside of the specific duties of this role as requiredChange out kibbles and man cage as requiredClean and tidy crib room at end of every shift. Empty rubbish bins as required.
