About the role

RUC Cementation Mining Contractors is currently seeking Charge Up for our Edna May Mine Operations. This role is an immediate start reporting to the shift supervisor working on a 2/1 roster. 

Responsibilities

  • Handle and transport explosives material in a safe manner according to procedures
  • Charge Up holes, down-holes, and drives
  • Charge Up and fire stope blasts according to blast plan
  • Ensure working area is safe for personnel and equipment to perform duties
  • Liaise with engineers and Shift Supervisors to optimize blast designs
  • Stock control of all charging equipment
  • Use a variety of explosives and initiating systems, depending on drill pattern, rock type, and hole dimension

Skills and Experience

  • Current C Class Drivers licence
  • Working Safely at Heights
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card
  • Shotfiring Certificate
  • Underground Charge Up experience
